Barnard Dance in Paris
The Barnard Department of Dance has a unique relationship with The University of South Florida's Dance in Paris program. Colleen Thomas, Barnard Professor of Professional Practice, teams up with Professor Michael Foley of USF to offer the month-long dance intensive in Paris, France. The USF/Barnard Dance in Paris program provides students with an immersive dance experience from technical, choreographic, performance, historical and cultural perspectives in one of the world's greatest cities for dance. Among this year's highlights were, The Paris Opera, Batsheva, Crystal Pite, Sidi Larbi, along with companies from Lebanon, Algeria, and Syria and a private master class with the Hofesh Schecter dance company after seeing their extraordinary performance of Grand Finale.
Mandatory Information Session about Summer 2025 will be held on Friday, October 4th, 10 AM in Studio 306.
*Please note that this is a competitive program and the deadline to show interest in going to Dance in Paris 2025 is November 15th. If spots are not filled the application process will be open until filled.
