 Juan Rodriguez received his early training at The Ailey School as a scholarship student under the direction of Denise Jefferson where he was the recipient of the Donna Wood Award. He went on graduate with a BFA from The Juilliard School under the direction of Benjamin Harkarvy. Mr. Rodriguez danced professionally with The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Buglisi Dance Theater and has been a guest and freelanced with many others. He has performed the works of distinguished choreographers such as Hans Van Manen, William Forsythe, Alonzo King, Jodie Gates, Edwaard Liang, Nicolo Fonte, Emily Molnar, Donald Byrd, Dwight Rhoden, Ron Brown, Lila York, Colin Connor, and Jose Limon. He also preformed as dancer for the late Aretha Franklin in Concert under the direction of George Faison. Mr. Rodriguez has taught throughout the country and internationally. His teaching credits include Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway, Peridance, The Ailey School, The Ailey Extension, Adelphi University, Ballet Hispanico, Ballet Academy East, French Academie of Ballet, Dance Theater of Harlem, Ellison Ballet, Vasiliev Academy of Classical Ballet, Earl Mosely Institute of the Arts, Jikei Dance International Program, Complexions Contemporary Ballet Intensives and was a repetiteur at IU Jacobs School of Music under the direction of Michael Vernon. His choreographic credits include The Juilliard Dance Ensemble, The Juilliard Drama Department, Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Adelphi University, French Academie of Ballet, Buglisi Dance Theater, Steps Conservatory and Ellison Ballet.
